Description of Services

The 5-Step services occur primarily at the local level, where AAW staff and consultants come to work with the Leadership Team, teams of educators, administrators, and community partners for 20 or more days each year. Our on-site services include coaching and professional development. Design of these days is customized, based on the needs and priorities of the participants. On-site professional development is accompanied by the Leadership Institute, Educator Planning Retreat, Spring Retreat,and regional workshops and activities, where participants from different communities have an opportunity to learn together. Participants also receive access to and training in essential resources, our national communication network, and the Adopt-A-Watershed geographic, on-line data-base allowing students to document and share their accomplishments and learning experiences.
